Coming from a Traditional Faith to Spirituality

What clients say when working with
Lanna Lee

I was attracted to the Science of Mind philosophy because it provided me the freedom to choose the life, I wanted rather than the life I was expected to want. The classes I have taken have given me the tools to create this life I have, and I am grateful. (M. H.)

After a life committed to living and believing “the gospel” I came to acknowledge Truth and Love is much bigger and free of judgement and damnation." (G.J.)

When it all came crashing down and I went from "knowing all truth" to feeling like I no longer knew or trusted anything, I found the SLCSL and its amazing community. The Universal Truths that I am exploring here as well as my alignment with their global vision, has created a created a soft and safe place to land.  (C.J)

Grateful for the past.

Embracing the future.

Being a blessing to the world.

There is a rising, global awareness of new ways of expressing our relationship with God, Source, the Presence or whatever you prefer to call that essence of all life.

Moving from traditional faith to modern day spirituality reflects a shift in how individuals approach the divine, meaning, and their own personal fulfillment. Traditional faith often emphasizes adherence to organized religious structures, doctrines, and communal practices that provide a sense of belonging and moral guidance. Rooted in centuries-old traditions, these faiths typically center around established institutions, sacred texts, and shared rituals. In contrast, spirituality, while still engaging with the sacred, tends to prioritize personal experience, introspection, and individual connection to the divine. It offers more flexibility, with a focus on inner growth, mindfulness, and the exploration of one’s unique path to enlightenment or fulfillment, often outside the confines of institutional authority.

This evolution is driven by broader cultural shifts, including the rise of individualism, globalization, and a growing desire for personal authenticity. People are increasingly drawn to spirituality as it allows for a more fluid and inclusive approach to life’s big questions, embracing elements from various traditions without necessarily adhering to any one system. Additionally, the focus on personal well-being and mental health in modern times has made spiritual practices such as meditation, yoga, and mindfulness more accessible and appealing. As a result, many are moving away from the rigid frameworks of traditional faith in favor of a more dynamic, individualized spiritual journey that emphasizes personal meaning over institutional adherence.

Let’s embark on this journey together, where we define our spiritual relationship with the God of our heart.

How Do

Religious Scientists’

Practice Their Faith?

My Spiritual Practice

*Affirmative Prayer

We impress upon the Spirit our deepest desires, and at the right time, the experience will become manifest. There is a five-step formula that I use:

Recognition

Unification

Realization

Thanksgiving

Release

 *Meditation

We center and connect with Spirit daily.  We develop a corresponding relationship with God through silence, introspective meditation, poetry, music, and mindful movement.

 *Visualization

We develop a mental equivalent to what we want to experience. We spend time thinking about what we desire and feel it coming our way, always staying open at the top for something we could not even imagine.

*Taking Classes

We are always learning new ways of being in this world and learning from others in a group setting.

*Reading a Variety of Sacred Texts

We are always learning and studying sacred texts that inspire us to be in the flow of all that is possible.

*Community Outreach

You will change the tone of your life by serving others. Magic happens in this practice.

When we acknowledge our former faith and the gifts that it has given us, we are then able to move in a direction that honors our innatesness and celebrates all that we are. Freedom, joy and a greater evolution of your soul await your acceptance.
